Hello - this is the obligatory "Hi, I'm new" thread. My name is Morgan and my fiance and I reside in Vermont. We bought our first house in October 2007 and I cannot wait to do some gardening! It's an old farmhouse that has not been maintained at ALL for 20+ years.... both the house and the land. It's pretty much a fresh slate although there are a few things poking up through the dirt here and there. It feels like a massive project for a novice like myself but, one thing at a time, I think it will be a nice learning experience.Looking forward to meeting you all!! Morgan |

Welcome from Texas. Glad you are here. You will find so many new things coming up and if you have any questions about what they are, you can go to the Plant Identification forum and all the knowledgable people here on GG will be able to assist you. They have helped me many times already. Please put pictures up of your adventures as we all love seeing what the other members are up to. Good luck and glad you are here. PWD |

Welcome Morgan. Commiserations on your "fixer upper". Been there, done that, got lots of blisters and learned new bad words. Best of luck with house and garden. Lots of nice folks here, hang out with us, learn some stuff, share what you know. It's fun! |

Welcome from neighboring Massachusetts! Revitalizing an old house and yard is definitely for the young! I did it once--it was a satisfying experience in the end, but it sure was work for the most part. Enjoy! |
