Ladies and Gents, I have officially run out of ideas for meals. Help me! We like plain ole food, nothing too fancy. I did make some meatball subs last week that were a hit.

There are lots of recipe web sites such as www.recipezaar.com. Once you get into the sites you can search for ingrediants and recipes will come up.

I know what you mean though. My favorite spot in my home is first my bed at night and then the Computer area. Don't cook much and do run out of ideas my DH will eat. Linda B

I'm either making homemade pizza or chicken quesadillas tonight. I buy fresh pizza dough so it's pretty easy to roll it out and top it.

Our old standby is a big mixed salad with cubed George Forman-grilled chicken and poppy seed dressing. That always tastes good.

One of my not-too-common stand-bys is Ground Meat Gravy and Potatoes.

You fry up ground meat (turkey, beef, whatever) with salt, pepper, and onions. Add a cup of water. Mix a couple tablespoons of corn starch with another cup of cold water (adding the water to the cornstarch, not vice-versa, or you'll get dumplings). Add that to the frying pan. Heat to boiling then simmer. Make mashed potatoes.

Serve ground meat gravy over the potatoes and eat.

Thanks for the ideas. Hubby is cooking today, chicken tacos! After a trip to the grocery this am, I have a few tricks up my sleeve for this week. I do not usually cook......my hubby is the chef in the family, but I am trying to help him out some.
Poppy seed dressing sounds delish. And I love to cook with ground beef.

We do this on another forum I frequent. I love it because I can never think of anything that both kids, hubby, and I will like.

Tonight it's leftovers.
last night was breakfast burritos

We love left overs. Tonight we are having grits, eggs and toast. I love that for supper.

Is that the same thing as tri-tip? You could do a Santa-Maria style bbq. Recipes are on the net!
