We are going to start a container garden. We will have multiple pots with flowers and we will have a vegetable garden as well. Should we use the same potting soil for both? Does anyone have any recommendations for the best brand of potting soil?

If purchasing a soil I prefer to go with a brand name like Miracle-grow. Over the years I have learned that with potting soil price does make a difference. With the cheaper ones I often find rocks, debris and heavy clay in the soil. The more expensive ones are usually much better as far as using a good blend of quality soil, peat, compost etc. and very little debris. Watch out for the difference between garden soil and potting soil too. They are different.
