I planted a Red Flowering Dogwood last August. It was about 5-ish feet when I planted it and I'm just wondering how quickly it will grow within a year.

I will be fertilizing it this spring and summer if that would affect it at all. So has anyone grown one and how quickly does it grow?

slow, 4 to 8 inches per year, fertilize sparingly and inspring only, preferably now.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably do it Saturday then.
