I found a picture of a 'white' flower bed and it was beautiful. I have a small area next to my house where two white Angel Trumpets grow. (see pictures below) There are also 2 large white dusty miller plants. I was gong to empty out that bed to redo it and then this picture told me to do all white plantings. If you have any suggestions as to what white plants you enjoy. Let me know. In looking over my photos I was reminded that a white double Clematis grows on that piece of latice along with a nice lavender/pink Clematis. I am just so enthused (is that a word?) about the coming growing season I can hardly stand myself. Happy plantin' and seedin' Linda B Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

What about some white delphiniums? Or some shasta daiseys? |

You could try some white lilies like the Easter lilies. They're are really nice I have to say. If I can think of any more I'll post |

I found the page from the May/June08 issue of Fine Gardening magazine for the White Garden. This is what has inspired me to build a white garden for myself. When I looked at the article again it actually tells you what plants are shown in the photo. So I am really going to do this and have already ordered Crazy Daisey, Starlight Carnation and some snow crocus (which will be many colors in the spring but will look really nice before other plants start up for the year) from Spring Hill (as they sent me another email special. $20 free with postage I pay) I already have the Dusty Miller, White Iris and the White Angel Trumpets. With the addition of Lemon Cream Lantana, Nicotiana, and perhaps a Cats Whiskers and some white petunias for annuals this year my bed seems to have a real start. LB Attachments: ![]() |

I saw a white azalea bush yesterday and thought of you! It was so beautiful in full bloom.

I ran across a white garden in my perennials book and they had 'David' phlox in there. White variegated foliage looks nice too. Maybe lamb's ear or a blue grass for the front of the bed? |

Your white garden theme is beautiful. The Leucanthemun x Superbum (Highland White Dream) has an extra long bloom season and would be pretty in there. Also the Cristata (Tennessee White) is so white it's nearly luminous. |

Have you got a way to run a string net to the eaves? Moonflower is huge and lovely. Marigolds come in several sizes, some in white; white tulips and paperwhite narcissus and white hyacinth would provide early white blooms while other plants were just getting started. White bleeding heart too. |

Thanks Janet for thinking of me at the sight of the white Azalea. I also have white azaleas but they wouldn't do well in that spot. Each of you have given me some good ideas. I am so ready to dig up and redo that bed, it has been neglected for such a long time. Happy plantin' and seedin', Linda B |
