I haven't posted about it b/c I'm ashamed. I spent a long time making her a beautiful cake and dropped it all over my living room floor! My cake carrier obviously wasn't locked tight and the bottom fell out. I could have cried! I felt awful. We didn't have time to even go by the store and pick one up. Thankfully, my MIL had made a fresh apple cake and we had to substitute it for a birthday cake. I didn't get any pictures of it. I guess I should post this in the recent kitchen disasters thread too. Thanks for asking though. |

I am so glad I am not the only one that has happened too! My daughter brought my cake in slightly "messed Up" and we ended up battling with it for makeup...it had hit the floorboard of her truck as she stopped suddenly for a light! Dee Attachments: ![]() |

Oh dear!!!! That's too bad after all the work. Let me clarify that covering cardboard with something to make it food safe or using cake cardboard would be the way to go. That was a good point brought up about that. |

Usually my cakes are so large that I do have to cover some cardboard with aluminum foil for them but this one just happened to fit in my brand new cake carrier. I wanted to try it out. Won't be using that thing again when traveling away from the house! |
