Here are some pictures of a crawfish's home. It is like 2 ft from the side of my house! The first pic is when I first saw it. I left it alone and about 4 days later he had it built up twice as high (pics 2 & 3). Since he (or she) really isn't bothering anything I usually just leave them alone. LOL, I know, crazy huh. It has been raining alot here lately and the ground is pretty saturated. Once last year we saw (During a very rainy period) one out walking across the yard  . My kids thought that was just the greatest. I guess we shouldn't walk barefoot in the rain.

Sure is an industrious little crustacean, isn't it?? Have seen small crabs here head inland about 100yards to dig their holes .
