A co-worker had 3 - 25 year old Rhododendrons Trees that they dug up and were going to throw away. I took them home and my hubby made room for them and re planted them, this summer. They seem to be doing ok so far. They are covered with snow now, but will they produce flowers this year??

I do not see why they wouldn't flower. They will have buds on them if they are going to flower. Do they have buds? They would have set buds before it snowed.

I don't remember if it did that or not, I'll check when I get home from work tonight. This is not a very good pic, they were real healthy when we re planted them.

You may want to prune them so they are bushier. I don't know for sure though. I think you would prune them like a shrub.

I think I see buds, at the very top. The others are covered with snow.

Cute little barn. Is that yours?

You can prune them after they flower, but I'm not sure if you can just lop them down to the height you want. You probably can but might have less flowering next year. Don't forget to fertilize them in spring and then again after bloom!
