So what's your favorite culinary herb? People who garden usually grow at least one favorite they use in the kitchen! I don't know if this has ever been discussed here before, but I'm taking a chance that it hasn't.

I use a few different kinds of herbs. Rosemary is my favorite. The others that I use are thyme, chives, parsley, sage and bay. I love a roasted chicken with rosemary, thyme, and sage along with the other seasonings.

How in the world did I ever forget to include thyme in the poll??? You find it in so many recipes! I guess because I wanted to include lovage (which is my favorite), I completely forgot thyme which most people are more familiar with. When it comes to cooking with herbs, 10 choices just aren't enough!!! Thanks for jogging my memory!!!

I had a hard time choosing my favorite herb. I love them all. I use alot of basil in my sauces. I even have fresh basil growing inside right now and almost every morning I pick a leaf and put it in my tea. It's fragrance in the morning helps me get going. Patty

I don't know if Garlic counts, but that's my favorite. If garlic doesn't count, it's a toss-up between basil and oregano. I use them together so much, I don't know which I like better.

I'm not an inspired cook, but I've gotten to like basil. I intend to develope the south facing side of the house into a herb bed. The choices for basil are quite broad and very pretty. Leafette

In case you can't guess from the name ... I'm a basil fiend. I use it in EVERYTHING, and nothing beats a slice of toasted bread with a little olive oil and fresh basil. I use mostly sweet basil, but Genovese is great for pesto, and Thai basil is amazing in Asian dishes.

Mint is my second favorite - you can't beat its fresh, sweet fragrance. Great for Asian cooking, baking, and (of course) fresh Mojitos! I love all the varietes - spearmint, chocolate, pineapple, and orange are my favorites.

No doubt! Though I like it even better with garlic.

My favorite changes as time goes by. Recently I've been enjoying lots of soups, and have found that a healthy dose of sage helps give the broth a more full-bodied flavor.
