You're very welcome Rashell. We are doing some remodeling, which is so fun in the dead of winter. We have 4 sets of double windows that we replaced and I'm trying to talk hubby into building a small greenhouse with them. He said he will think about it.

I found a bunch of old windows that was being thrown away a couple years back, and built me a little 8x12ft sun room. This is where I will have to grow my seedlings. I have my greenhouse full of tenders and tropicals. This veiw is the south window. John Attachments: ![]() |

That is a neat idea, John. We don't have enough room to build onto the house, I wish we did. I've been pointing out to hubby that a small green house and garden shed would help out because overwintering in the garage is useless. The guys are always leaving the garage door open.

Well my hubby has been promising to build me a green house too..for ever now. Since he hardly has the time I have to come up with something. PS. If you all want, I'll post a picture of how my kitchen looks. For sure it will scare people away from the idea.

I followed your example Rashell. I started some of my seeds this afternoon. I used 2 of the clear bedding bags. Just slid them in and zipped them closed. I still have a tray or 2 to do. I might finish it up tomorrow. |

Well, I didn't make it much further than the other day. We are battling the flu here. But, those little tomato seeds didn't seem to notice. A bunch of them are sprouting. I propped up the sides with 2 little blue trays and the ends with a foam brush, it doesn't slip on the plastic. I did open it up to air out a little after I realized that they were sprouting. Then they went under the grow light. Its cooler in there, which should slow them down a bit and make the stems stronger. I may put them outside tomorrow though, to get some natural light. I have another tray that has eggplant and peppers along with one of dill. I still need to do a tray of Wave Petunias and Coleus. Attachments: ![]() ![]() |
