Hard to chose, I know, but chose you must! I shouldn't have looked in that rose forum in the dead of winter!

All roses are beautiful but Red really stands out for me. I really like the ones with the most fragrance. LB |

Yes, you have to have fragrance! I like yellow roses, especially ones with a lemony fragrance. I did a lot of sniffing at Portland's Rose Garden and it amazes me what a variety of scents roses have. |

Belle Isis is an old garden Gallica. Sadly, it only blooms once a year. Attachments: ![]() |

My favorite is the neon orange Tropicana that my youngest son got me for mother's day one year when he was about 12. Well, of course there's a story behind it! He went to the greenhouse with me and he picked out a plant he liked for mom's day for me and I paid for it. I planted it. I weed it. You know the deal. |

That is so an unfair question! LOL.. But I tend to lean toward cool colors all thru my garden actually. My deep pink Knockout Rose is my favorite, after that is the red one

I love the deep, dark red roses. I have 3 hybrid teas and mostly rugosas. The teas are all Mother's Day gifts from when my sons were little, so I treasure them even when I'm cussing the black spot they seem to gather every year, sigh. The rugosas and ramblers are a piece of cake to work with. Very tough, disease and drought resistant. Fragrant, bloom continuously and throw great hips. I plant on expanding the big bed in the front of the house. Right now it is the center piece for my Thomas Lipton, which is a monster. I want to add 6 more roses to that bed after we expand it and fill in with perennials and annuals. I'm saving my money to buy those 6 from either Palintines or Austin. Can decide which ones I want, too many purties......LOL |
