Yes, they were, especially in the summer when it was so hot! In the fall, the skins "went down" a lot better and were much more tender. I'm going to try to find the cherries early enough this year.

I might try the lopes. He eats them all summer. I'd also like to try lemon cukes. Before I planted my perennials, I grew them and they did well here.
