Keep all the postings relating to a particular Mystery Plant in the same thread, so that we can see all the clues at once. Start a new thread for each new Mystery Plant. You do not have to post more than one clue a day, either picture or text. The correct answer should be confirmed by the original poster. First correct answer has the option of posting the next Mystery Plant.

As much information as you can give about the plant would be helpful, as sometimes there are many in the same family, but this info can be provided over a number of days. The point being to keep the players guessing as long as possible.

Once someone has guessed the Mystery Plant, the original poster should tell a little about the mystery plant.
It can be any plant from anywhere. We can learn. have fun and be introduced to many new plants.
You can guess based on your personal knowledge or look it up in a book or on the Internet.

All members are invited (more accurate "urged") to participate.
So what if you guess the wrong plant, you'll have gained some information about the plant.

If the OP is going to be away for a few days, please notify the other players.

Q. How technical to be about the name/kingdom/division/class/order/family/genus/spe cies/binomial name?
A. Common name or full name (Genus, Species). I don't think we want to get too stuffy. It's just a game.

Q. I'm not good at picking plants to identify. Can I pass on posting the next plant to someone else?
A. Sure. It's not mandatory. If someone doesn't want to post a mystery plant, we don't want to have him/her not trying to guess. Choose someone or ask for a volunteer.
