Words & pictures just can't describe what I saw this morning. What a beautiful site I woke up to. Third and last picture is the first thing I saw. Then it started to get dark again but now the sun is sneaking out.

My first born was born in Burbank, I worked on San Fernando Blvd, and all I can remember was looking through smog, of course that was in 1960.

smog is probably worse now. about 10 years back when our area wasn't as packed with cars/people...we saw this all the time. fresh air and all. Started getting real bad about maybe 3 years ago. I should add there are lot more trucks too.

It's a big treat for us to see this. Our mountains are so clear today but don't know how long it will last. I took a bunch of pictures to make it last forever! lol

Wow! Is that Italy?

Rashell, are they evacuating near you because of the rain storm hitting the coast? I heard 1000 people have to be out by this evening, I think it was.

Just took a few more...look real nice. I'll post them later tho.

No evacuated area is not near me. I'm just hearing about it now, from you. haven't watched or read the news yet.

Coast lines: 15 feet waves!

"Evacuations must be done by 8:00pm tonight. Modjeskg, Williams and Silverado Canyons in Orange County. South of Los Angeles".

"Schwazenegger ordered pre-positioning rescuers in the areas expected to be worst hit"! The worry is mud slides.

I knew this would be a problem after the fires we had.

Here are a few more pics. Praying for all those from Orange county who have to evacuate.

We live on a baby hill compared to other mountains nearby. I was told a few homes slid off there spots a few years back before we moved to the area. The homes across from us landed on the street & others needed jacks to hold them up. The unstable homes were the ones build on land where contractors added dirt before building. The ones that survived are the homes where the spots were only cut/graded before building started. Anyway, this is what we have been told. Just some history about our area.
