Yep sure do agree. My neighbor to the back of my lot has three that are dead. Might want to look into saving the trunk? Cedar is a pretty wood. |

I believe you have a "Bald" cypress, Taxodium Distichum. The moniker "bald" comes from the fact that while they are conifers, they are deciduous, meaning they drop their needles annually. A couple of other deciduous conifers include Dawn Redwoods, (Metasquoia glyptostoboides and larch (Larix spp.) and surprise, Ginko (Ginko Bilboa). So don't run out and cut it down and please advise your neighbor likewise. |

So, THAT'S what a bald cypress looks like. Had heard about them but have never seen one.You learn something new at GG all the time
