Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a a stay at home, empty nester with just me and hubby so gardening is a favorite past time for me. I've been gardening for years. I guess you could say that I just love digging in the dirt. Every Spring I plant a huge vegetable garden and have boo-koodles of flowers and plants. I'm not good with remembering scientific names of plants and such, common names are enough of a challenge for me!!
Some of my flowers are hydrangia, gardenia, roses, lantana, butterfly bushes, cannas, lilies, iris, daylilies, datura, brugs, clematis. Gosh... I could go on and on. Anyway, I am here to share, learn and make some new gardening friends. Thanks for having me.

Welcome aboard (I say that because i work at a boat dealership --- and garden in my "spare" time)! I've also recently joined and i'm finding a wealth of information on this site - and the people are so incredibly nice. I love to see the pictures of what's growing in folks gardens and get new ideas of what I can plant in my gardens (besides weeds!).

anyhow - welcome to the site - and enjoy!

sunny days to you!

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I like the forum set up and have added a few pics to my galary. I have a long growing season here but now that the weather is cooling a bit, I have a little time on my hands for reading all the good info posted by the members here, althoughhhh..I do have collards, mustards, kale and turnips planted in my Winter garden. Does anyone plant Greens in the Winter??
