Rose hips

Do all roses get hips? I've been leaving the last of my flowers on since September because I read that cutting the last flowers stimulates new budding when you want the rose to get ready to go dormant. I know some roses are known for their hips. I think mine must be hipless but I'm still hoping.

I like to use them for tea...the Vitamin C cannot be beat

Ramblers and rugosas throw hips. And they are wonderful in teas and jellies.
