I keep finding leaves that look like this. Is this what they call "leaf miners"?
Or is it something else? And what can I do about it ? I know that the plants
have whitefly and I spray once a week with an insectisidle soap with pyrethrines
Can whitefly do this to the leaves?

Hey there, Latebloomer. I see no one answered you yet. You could also try posting your pic in the Insects forum.

There are many chewing insects. The only ones I've had experience with are slugs and grasshoppers, and I'll bet there aren't slugs in Florida. I'm not sure if all leaf miners are alike, but the columbine leaf miner larva chews a squiggly trail inside the leaf but doesn't cause holes. The damage comes in spring since that's when it's in the larva stage. Maybe adult leaf miners chew holes? I don't know!

Japanese beetles maybe?

I think we got the same problem. Something is eating my Cestrum nocturnum(night blooming jasmine) I live in SW Florida. What can i do or use. I have tried using soap but it does no good.
Did you get it fixed and if so what did you use. Thanks
