Hi everyone, I have a Christmas cactus with a weird problem. Some of the leaves (stems ???) are turning purple and drooping. About half of the plant has this problem. The other half of the plant is fine and in fact is blooming right now. Has anyone ever seen this? What should I do? Thanks! Kathey |

Does your plant look anything like this? This is from Daves Garden site and is a very old plant. It seems I have seen the plant get a purple color hue, but can't remember the circumstances. Linda B Attachments: ![]() |

Hi Kathey, On this page (take out any spaces) http://www.ext.nodak.edu/extnews/hortiscope/housep lnts/xmascctus.htm After describing a similar question, and explaining a lot about the different pigments that result in the different colorations, it said the following: All said, your fertilization may “erase” the coloration that you describe. Make sure the plant is not too pot bound, which could result in the roots not taking up adequate nutrients. Hope this helps. Robert |
