HELP with mulch (filler) that won't blow or get tracked by dog

Hello! We are thinking of pulling our red mulch out and replacing it with something. I'm tire of it washing out with the rain, blowing away in the wind, and being dragged back in the house from our long haired dog. : ) I was thinking of river rock, but have been told this is not good for the plants....traps too much heat. You can try a couple of inches of pea gravel or lava rock. |
