Just wanted to pop in and say Hello to all the gardeners. I'm a new member to this site but love it so far. I'm retired and doing all the things that I enjoy full time such as gardening, feeding my wildlife, mowing & watering my lawn, crafting, & sewing. My yard is my passion and that's where you'll find me from morning til night in the spring, summer, & fall. Winter takes me to my greenhouse, craft/work shop or the sewing/project room. Life is wonderful!!!! My backyard has been certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a backyard habitat for wildlife...neat... Hope to get to know the gardening family on this site as we pass info & help each other. Keep those hands dirty, gimlet[/b][/i] |

Welcome to GG from WI, gimlet! You are doing exactly what I aspire to be doing when (and if) I retire. We just bought our house about 3 years ago, so we're still learning what works, along with quite a bit about what doesn't... ! Great to have you here, feel free to dig around a while...

Welcome to GG, gimlet! Make yourself at home! I'm trying to get the last of my gardening done before the Oregon rains arrive, which could be any day now! I moved 15 plants since the weekend and have a half dozen more to go. Phew! |

Hi gimlet! Can I move in with you? It sounds like my house. It will be fun to hear about and see what creative things you're doing inside and out.

Gimlet you are a busy person. Do hope you can post some pix of your gardens and your backyard habitat sign. I also registered my yard a couple of years ago but did not pay for the sign. It was an easy thing to do and I encourage others to do the same. Linda B from SC PeeDee area |

Hi keywee, thanks for the welcome. I've been experimenting with many different plants for quite a long time and now I'm trying to group them so they will compliment each other.. As you well know that a gardener never finishes working in the yard.. Talk with ya later. gimlet |
