Tastiest organic food in your garden

In your organic gardening experience, which fruit/vegetable/herb did you find to be the most superior to the mass produced varieties at the supermarket? For me, it would have to be onions..

I would say-Tomatoes! There's nothing like organic homegrown tomatoes. I know this is a little..... late with an answer. Better late than never they say.  Patty

My secret to great tasting healthy tomatoes is adding worm castings to the hole before planting and top dressing with it later. Also, I mulch my tomatoes so just in case I have a soil borne disease it won't splash up on my plants when it rains or I water. Never let your tomatoes dry out especially when they are setting flowers. Happy Growing! Patty

Wow! I'm a beginner and after seeing that pic your my hero patty. I just started a square foot garden and managed to get one radish out of it, but boy was it good. |

Thank you We have 30 plus inches of snow. I wish I was there. I can't wait to garden again.My Husband got me an Aero Garden for Christmas so I could keep gardening. Maybe the Herbs will be growing in it before spring.Here's some snow for you. Patty

Hi! A Aero Garden is a easy hydroponic garden that you don't have to have any experience as a gardener to use. I have them in my e-store on my site and my husband thought that if I had one myself I could recommend them if they work well. So far so good. I would have to say beans We grew some rattlesnake pole beans last year and they were sooo great. You definitely can't get a bean tasting like that in the store. |

Tomato is the only veggie the squirels allowed me to grow.  So I have to say tomato. They taste so much better than the ones at the grocery store. I grown all types of tomato. Only ones I have not tried yet are the real big giant ones (guess sandwhich kind or beef steak...don't know what they are called). WOW patty, nice!
