I know it is quite late for me to introduce my self ... It seems that every time I use the forums, the introduction spot seems to be out off my sight ..sorry!
Hello everyone.. ~ Please to meet you all . I'm from Jakarta - Indonesia. I love gardening ~ Gardening seems to make me into a better person. I know it's sound corny but it's true !! I become more patient than before.
I have made New friends here, and hoping to have Much more Friends in the future

Cheers..

Welcome, Sunny, from Tennessee. Great insight you have there. I had never really thought about it before, but now that you've brought it to my attention, I agree wholeheartedly with you about gardening making one a better and more patient person. I think most members here would agree, as well. Hope you continue to enjoy the site.

Welcome to GG from WI, Sunny! I also agree with your description of gardening, you have to be patient and also a very nurturing person. Gardening for me is a decompression valve, a way to let go of all the "stuff" we gather up during the average day. If I'm really wound up, I'm at it in the hot humid baking sun 'til I'm ready to drop...otherwise, I'm taking it at a much more leisurely pace! Thanks for joining us, and looking forward to your input from that side of the planet...

Yes!!! "decompression valve" that is the perfect description for how I feel when I'm hacking away at weeds and fluffing up the soil in any garden! It simply erases the cares of the day doesn't it.

It most certainly does. Today was a ride around and do chore stuff. Tomorrow is let off steam day in the yard. At least until it gets to 85 degrees plus with a high temp of over 90 again this week. Cool Off Already!! Linda B

Sorry about the unfamiliar term! Please feel free to ask about anything that doesn't make sense to you, you can always click on someone's name and send them a PM (private message) if it's something you'd rather not ask out in the open. Let them know they need to "check PMs", so they don't miss your questions. "Decompression valve" comes from my diving experiences, it refers to a way you can release built up internal pressure. There are some cooking tools which have similar valves, like pressure cookers, and some steamers.
Keep digging, talk to ya later!
