Hi there, i heard about this site from a cooking site where i am a member ( chefDebs ) in recipezaar. I will post some garden photos later, but having just gone through a terrible drought here in Tn with over 100 degree weather, the garden looks pitiful right now. But it did rain last night..yahoo... i was out there running around in it and acting crazy...havent seen the stuff in a while.

LOL! What did the neighbors think?

Well, glad to have you aboard! I answered your rose question in the forums.

Welcome fellow Zaarite!! Good to have you over here. There are some great folks and some valuable hints and tips around here.
I hear ya about the rain, but our news always says YOU'RE getting it all. We have had NONE in August at all! Hardly a drop ~ I promise to dance, skivvies or no!!!

Hi there!

I'm also new here...
Wish I could have sent you some of our rain as we've had too much all summer long. Things are just now starting to dry out enough to get caught up on the mowing & other yard work.

Hey mom.. you are certainly in a different part of Illinois than I am.. we figure we are 5-8 inches behind.. everything here is dying, grass is brown, leaves falling off the trees, instead of mowing twice a week.. we seem to be mowing once a month.. just to knock down the weed seeds..

I am in west central part of the state.. welcome to GG!

Hey TN.. I hear ya!! we are way behind in rain in my part of the state, read above posting! I would dance in the rain in my skivies too if I had the opportunity! Now that would really shock the neighbors!! Well I live in a subdivision where everyone has an acre so the neighbors are not that close, but would be my luck I would stop tractor and combine traffic! The farmers here are in the fields for harvest about 3 weeks early due to drought.

Chatty, here in Campbell County we are above rain level but are still in drought conditions. It still looks smoky here in Gillette but could be smog too. I think this morn was smog instead of smoke. Thank goodness! My eyes and nose didn't burn for once in 2 weeks.
