I have a tropical hibiscus. Last year it bloomed well. This year it hasn't bloomed at all. There is a problem with some of the leaves. They are turning yellow, then brown, and then they shrivel up. Does anyone have any idea what's causing that?

Hi...
Try cutting back on watering; overwatering usually shows up as brown leaf tips.
Also try to increase daylight exposure and do not overfertilize....

Okay....thanks for your help. I moved it to a closed in porch which has better lighting.

Good suggestions, I will remember them when I bring in my tropicals for the winter. I had one and after I brought it inside in just plain died. Almost cried. Now I have two double coral and two red with varigated leaves. Am going to pray over them as I bring them inside. If they go I just don't want to do this again. It is like losing a pet. They are just so beautiful. LB

Thanks Ron, I will try to find a spot that gets no sun. Right now they are on my carport and get early morning sun. Have printed out my instructions so this ding-a-ling doesn't forget what Ron told me to do. Linda B from SC
