So, give me some feedback and tell me what you think, I wrote this one up the other day. Who better to ask for feedback than my fellow gardeners?

Oh do come prepare some for me. I am not a very good cook and even my attempt at fried green maters are almost a disaster.
I saw a fabulous recipe in a Southern Living magazine for these today. Did not write it down of course. But it looked to so in the pictures. LB

Hey, I think if you follow my directions it may turn out differently! Heck, do that and let me know if I made it clear enough, what I am aiming for is people who have never made them!

You did a wonderful job! Your recipe is written exactly as you intended ~ for someone who's never made them before. Being a member and forum host on a recipe site, you wouldn't believe the recipes that are posted with the assumption that the reader has been cooking for 30 years and doesn't have any questions. Ya done good!
I like the idea of "double-dipping" the slices in egg and crumbs. The only thing I do different is to use ranch dressing or buttermilk in place of the milk.

RKayne, a couple of questions about your instructions for poppers.....You don't include the step to put cheese in the pepper before dipping it in the flour. A novice might follow the directions to the T, then get down to #11 where it says to dip the cheese end...that might confuse them...I can just see my sister trying to stuff cheese in a battered pepper...lol...then the batter getting messed up. LOL The mental picture of her in this situation in hilarious, she tends to be very tempermental and spoiled normally, and right now she is pregnant which give her drama an extra boost of hormone crazy!

I am also wondering if you ever make a smaller batch of poppers, if so, do you use a smaller amount of oil to fry in, or just make a full batch and freeze the extra?
