here is a flower that is red and spiked, but the leaves are like clover in shape.
now to share with you all. I have been getting several packets of wildflowers and mixed flowers in one package and that has been great!!! so i have been searching on the web each and every species on the back of the package and yes, i have found some new plants coming up in my garden that way, that are not where i planted them, but somewhere else in the garden,,, strange, maybe bird poo who knows..........
thank you in advance.
nicole

on the other one I THINK is a salvia species, it has velvety leaves and grows to be over 6 feet and branches out alot. i have to cut it back after it flowers, for it is so lanky. the hummingbirds love it.

Yep definitly a salvia/sage. Flowers look so much like my mexican sage and the hummers really do wait for it to bloom this time of year. LB

next time the first person who identifies my plant will get 10 salvia greggi (white blooms) seeds. How is that?

I know i posted another id somewhere here, maybe even in this forum. It has never as of yet been identified, It is also on my logo. SO GO GIRL and you might get some seeds. BLESSINGS ya all!!

Also no one identified the salvia........it is

involucrata Bethellii Robust shrubby growth to 5' high and as wide, with lush, dark velvety leaves. In late summer the cluster of large hot pink flowers are borne on each branch tip. Very showy. Hardy to 10° - 15°F.
