I threw marigold seeds and a wildflower seed mix here. The levaes look more like a marigold, but the flower looks sort of like a cosmo. Whatever it is, I like it!

It is cosmos....it is called bright lights, and it most likely will reseed! It usually is orange red or yellow in that mix...hope that helps. Tessa

I think you better give yourself a dose of Miracle-Gro.

No! I meant whether it is worth trying to save the seeds or not, if that really isn't what it looks like!

The leaves way over to the left of it look like marigold. That looks like a cosmos to me.
Hey, if you like it and it grew that way once maybe you'll be able to get it again. Save the seeds and plant them.

I have no idea how to save seeds, but there is always a first time.

Just let the flower die off instead of dead heading them and you will see the seeds being made, wait till they are ALL the way dry. Any time I find one that seems to be creating a pod that may spill the seeds I will put a piece of nylon over it (like a tomato flower when I want to KEEP that bugger heirloom for seed collection!) to keep them in one spot .
