Hi! does anyone have any suggestions for companion plants for the following:

grapes
almonds
olives
pears/apples
citrus trees
avocados
raspberries/currants

I've read to keep fruit trees mulched, but was wondering if any plants or herbs can protect them from pests or improve their flavours

thanks!

Try this thread, seems pretty inclusive and mentions a website:

Sorry 'bout the delay in responses, sometimes it gets slow 'round here, especially when there's nothing growing outside. (No real rain since begining of July here! )

My approach to companion planting really never "grew" past the line of marigolds I put around the garden every year...sorry 'bout the pun, BTW.

PS You'll have to copy/paste the link to a new browser page, but it should work. If not, check for spaces inserted within the address.

Thanks mbvirtue! I had a look through the thread and got some ideas.

I might get the book that was mentioned - "Carrots love Tomatoes" - I've thought about getting that one in the past!
