Hi! does anyone have any suggestions for companion plants for the following:

grapes
almonds
olives
pears/apples
citrus trees
avocados
raspberries/currants

I've read to keep fruit trees mulched, but was wondering if any plants or herbs can protect them from pests or improve their flavours

thanks!

Hi all, I bought a book about companion planting. Here's what to plant :

raspberries - avoid blackberries and potatoes
pears - bare soil - don't plant anything

apples - chives (protects) and foxgloves (strengthens)
citrus - guava (protects)
grapes - train over mulberry (helps) or plant hyssop and basil

Apparently foxgloves are good for other plants by strengthening them and helping them live longer. Interesting.

I just checked my companion plants book, and it says everything you found out, and also that nasturtiums planted under apple trees repel aphis....
