I don't think that's on their line up right now. I've seen the show and some is off the wall, but I try to get past that stuff and see what people are doing. If you do get an air date be sure and post it and throw a pm my way so I be sure and see the date and all. I hope you do get airplay.

It is an old and almost lost art form called "Faux Bois" (French for "False Wood"). It is an art that can be as simple or as complex as you want to make it, but either way you end up with outdoor furniture that can last literally for centuries. And while this is part of what I do for a living, anyone can learn the basics pretty quickly.

Here are a couple of pieces I recently completed. One is a nine and one-half foot long bench with arms for a local client/collector. The other was made specifically for a TV craft episode that will air on HGTV in the Spring sometime. I also have a couple of informational Blogs relating to art & crafting with concrete. Here's one that also has several Hypertufa recipes on it for any who are interested...
I'll check back when I can and see how everyone is doing. I always enjoy seeing other peoples work. All my best - Tango

Howdy Folks --- Just a quick note to let you know that another class in the art of sculpting Ferrocement Faux Bois (false wood) is being hosted this summer by the non-profit Ferrocement Educational Network (FEN) in Montrose, Colorado. Last years class was the first time in history that anyone has ever shared the techniques and formulations used by the secretive Masons who practiced this craft a hundred years ago. It was also a huge success and a heck of a lot of fun.

You can find out more via either of these links. Hope to see you there!

You are extremely talented! Martha Stewart has a real affection for faux bois and has done quite a few faux bois crafts on her show and in her magazine. You might consider contacting her and sending her some photos. You never know - maybe she'll invite you to her show (or at least buy something!)

Good luck!
