My poor lawn needs help! To me it appears to still be dormat in spots. I have fertilized and raked, watered and cried but it still remains half dead. I have applied triple 16. It helped green up the part of the lawn that has started to grow but it still looks patchy and icky compared to my neighbors. It gets a lot of sun most of the day. I am one step away from calling a lawn care company. If anyone can help me and save me a lot of money please send your ideas this way. I would be forever grateful!

I feel for you. I thought this was going to be a good year for my lawn, but it quickly acquired a lot of dead grass. On closer inspection, I noticed the dead grass was the outer layer of the round tough grass which I now think is CRABGRASS! Is that what you are seeing, or is the "good" grass dying?
