Can anyone identify these two flowers? I think these came out of the wildflower mix. The first two are a front and back view of the same flower stalk. That one has a spur on each flower and they are purple on the inside of each flower. The second two...a closer look at the flowers, then a peek with the leaves. If you know what they are please pass that on to us .

Ya got me on the first one, but the second (blue) one is forget-me-nots. I just came in from looking at mine.

Could the first one be columbine?

The first one is not columbine. The flower opened more in the afternoon sun. I tried to take a pic but its already dark out. You can see though that the foliage is different. It is also growing in full sun. Its very pretty.

Thanks KeeWee for the heads up on the forget-me-nots. Do they reseed themselves? I hope so they are so cute.

Oh gosh, yes ~ the f-m-n will reseed all over, maybe more than you will even want. Still don't know what the other one is ~ the foliage looks like cosmos.

This pic shows the face of the flower just a little better.

The pretty little purple flowered plant is Larkspur. They will self-seed if you allow the pods to dry on the plant.

Thanks Rosie, I will certainly leave the seed pods to dry on the plant. Somehow it feels better to have a name to put with the face

As stated, first two pics are a variety of Consolida (Larkspur), many times mistaken as Delphinium.

Second two pics are of Anchusa, probably capensis. (This is often referred to as Forget-Me-Not, but is usually mentioned as Bugloss. The true Forget-Me-Not is of the Myosotis genus, but that's how it goes with common names. )

wwgreen, I also found the second one in a book listed as you said as Anchusa capensis with a common name as Summer forget-me-nots. Thanks for the help everyone.
