Recently moved into this house. I have no green thumb and would love to learn more about the plants that are here and the ones that I need to get rid of (weeds). You see I have no idea, if anyone can name a couple of the plants, then I can look them up online and see for myself what they should really look like! Thank you so much to anyone that even reads this message!!! Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Pic 1) The variegated plant (white and green leaves ) is eunymous.... probably 'Emerald Gaiety'. The groundcover in the foreground is blue rug juniper. There's a variegated hosta in the lower RH corner.... probably 'alba marginata'. The mass shrub in the center appears to be a yew, but I can't see the leaves clear enough to be sure. Again I can't the pink flowering thing clear enough to make out what it is. 2) The tall vase focal point looks to be a rose of Sharon. In front is the hosta again and a daylily? The three evergreen spires behind the Rose of Sharon are Arborvitae. Can't see the gold on the left or the three mounds on the right clear enough. 3) the red plant is a Japanes Maple 4) Host on left, but not 'alba marginata', Columbines in front. The shrub appears to be another yew. 5) Again not sure on the gold shrubs, tho they may be another form of eunymous. The red ones are barberry. This looks like a Lowes garden department planting.... you may want to visit your local Lowes and see if you can match anything up. |

The golden plant looks like my Golden Barberry, but my eyesight is not too good any more. Here is a shot of my Golden Euonymous also. OkieScot Attachments: ![]() ![]() |
