OK< so I probably didn't spell that right, but I recently rescued a plant that I was told was a Calancho (sp?) So, anyways this thing needs help. It is obvious not to give it much water but I need to figure out the best way to take cuttings, I think, as it is BARE to the ends...it has rather a bit of leaf, but only at the ends. Or is this normal for them...and what kind of soil does it need? I can't find ANY info about it but IT think that has something to do with my spelling issue, hehe... |

Kalanchoe bracteata that is it. It's a SHRUB??? It gets 4 ft tall?!?!?! I need to look more as this bugger is a sickly looking vine, but the leaves look right, it IS that...weirdness. |

Kalanchoe are easy to propagate. First, look to see if there are any roots developing on the bare stems. Otherwise, just trim the plant and put those cuttings in potting soil. Even leaves soemtimes take root if they fall into the pot. |

Arg, I dunno where I put the dang thread, lol. I do know all I had was the pronunciation of it so had no clue it even started with a 'K', lol. |

I have one on my porch facing east right now that's growing into a pine tree shape. I think I may leave it that way so the flowers, whatever color they are, will make a colorful cone this winter hopefully. |
