Greetings! I'm new here, and I have to say that I really enjoy spending time on GardenGuides learning new things to incorporate into my garden. Anyone else from Oregon? (Go Beavers!!!) My husband and I are just starting our first garden together. So far, we have some radishes, rhubarb (the last harvest was today, however unfortunate), and roses. But mostly weeds. Dandelions, vetch, and every other species known to this region I suppose. We want to stay as organic as possible... After all, we have 2 dogs and 5 cats (at least). Our garden is set on a 15 degree slope facing North and is about 2 feet above our watershed line...Oops, gotta go. The new puppy is whining about something...

Hi, Glad to find a member from Oregon. I just joined. I am in the Willamette Valley. I have lots of weeds in my garden because I live next door to a field full of weeds and I'm an organic gardener who uses corn gluten as a pre-emergent. I just consider weeding as my exercise plan. ![]() We have something in common besides gardening. I'm an OSU alumni and a Beaver fan. Good luck with your garden this year. |
