Hi, all. I'm from TN and have started my first garden ever. I started too big, I'm afraid, and wonder if I made a mistake using moisture control miracle grow potting mix for basically everything I planted. I did it because I have limited physical abilities and didn't want to have to do a lot of mixing, and I also thought the idea of the moisture control was good. I'm wondering if it may have too much fertilizer in it and may hamper flowering??? I planted little finger carrots, bush beans, grape tomatoes, cantaloupe, strawberries, little gem lettuce. I'm using a a variety of sizes of containers from relatively small to 18" for the strawberries and cantaloupe. Everything looks good, but only one bloom on one strawberry so far. I really don't know what to expect. Any thoughts, tips? |

Did you plant all of this in pots of in the ground? Either way it sounds like it should work great to me. |

All in pots, not in ground. The day after I posted this my largest strawberry plant started getting blooms, maybe as many as 8 so far, but none have opened yet. I'm excited. Thanks for your reply. |

Oh, and my cantaloupe is HUGE and blooming now. It has had a huge growth spurt all at once it seems. It's probably 4 ft across now! |
