Okay, I currently live in a college dorm, but only for 2 more weeks. I have planted my moonflower and just noticed a sprout last night. I keep my shade up during the day and check the moisture level daily as well. I guess I am doing okay with it but since this is the first time I have ever had one of these, I could really use some advice on growing them indoors. I also need to know if having them sitting on my a/c unit when it is on could possibly hurt them, cause I keep reading that they like to be warm. And one more question, how do I know what type of moonflower this is? If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it. |

It would be better in a warm spot than on an air conditioner. If you have a small porch or some area that you could set it that is shady. I kept mine on a screened in porch until they were big enought to plant. This way it would definitely last two weeks until you move. As for the type you probably won't know until it blooms. Did someone give it to you or did you buy it? |

I bought it from Kirkland's, came with the pot and everything. I now have 3 sprouts but they all seem to be stuck in their seeds, and I don't know if I should try to remove the seed thing from the sprouts or not. I don't want to hurt the plant, but I can't tell if they are going to be able to get out of them on their own. Unfortunately I can't put it outside, we aren't allowed to open the windows here. But I will move it off of my a/c when I have it on, at least until I move. Thank you so much for replying, and if you can give me any more advice, I would really appreciate it. |
