Hello There
I have planted 3 bare roots 10 days ago. All of them are doing
except one. This one has several new growth. But the new leaves came
out are getting dried and became black completely. No growth is more
than 1 inch at this point. The leaves are smaller than a penny.

Any guess what could be wrong?

Check and make sure the joint or the bump in the middle of the branches is not covered completely up. Everything I have read says cover these in winter uncover in summer. I threw some leaves and manure on one of mine and it complained but looks better now that I have exposed that area of the plant.

I think you are talking about covering up the bud union right?
( the joint of all branches to the base). Thats not covered
with anything as of now. It seems like its something else.
Thanks a lot for replying.

thanks
