We bought these at Home Depot on the weekend. We put them on either side of our deck steps. We've had one sunny day and it seems one is brighter than the other. I think I want to take back the dimmer one and try to get a brighter one through trial and error. You know how that goes. But they add a nice touch to the garden.

Thanks, Mo. Rick was the one who had to have them--seems I do the plants, he picks out the garden ornaments.

The shades are glass and one is more amber than the other, so that's why it casts an oranger glow. I still think they should match.

Forgot to mention they are the hi-tek ones like Ron mentioned and are made by Intermatic.

Cool Lights!
They should have the same amount of sunlight in order for them to glow the same and for the same amount of time!
You might need to move them around.
Mine vary depending on where I placed them around the garden.

I went to HD and bought another set and put them all on the patio table for the day. Two were bright and two were quite a bit dimmer. Now I have a matched pair and so will the person that bought the box I returned. I knew I wouldn't be happy with them if they were different. I really like them, even though we don't go out in the yard at night because of mosquitos.

I don't have them, but my neighbor's son's friend ran over 6 of her 8 along her sidewalk. We don't go outside much after dark anyways so I really don't have much use for any.
The ones you all have are beautiful though.

I'll have to take some pictures of ours, they are not that great because they blink off and on quite a bit, but I love them anyways. If we turn on our outside lights, the deck they think it is daytime again and blink I guess because they think they need to be recharged or something. Then sometimes they wont light again after that. Not sure what brand name they are, maybe GE? I'll have to look when I get home from work.

I've been putting solar lights in my gardens for the past few years, just because of the flexibility of them. I like the amber color best...the white seems to stark for me. The problem is that the solar collectors seems to get "fuzzy" (?) after awhile and then the lights don't work well... I tried replacing batteries, but that didn't help.

If I wanted to to thru all the fuss, I would use the regular low-voltage landscape lights. I had those at a previous house we owned and they were great...until lightning hit our garage where the transformers was, blew it up and then traveled through my whole set of lights, blew them all up and actually blew some right out of the ground! It was quite a sight.

I bought half a dozen low solar lights 2 seasons ago. They have stayed out all winter and glow until the snow gets too deep! I'll get more. Some lasted longer than others in the same set but the bases are kinda fragile. I hadn't thought of the taller ones. They look great! Leafette
