I got cuttings off this tree/bush about a month ago.. They are ready to bloom.. Was told the bloom is a lime green. I will find out shortly.. I was told they thought it was a Japanese Cypress but no search turned up anything that looked like this. Hope you all can help me put a name to this unusual tree/shrub. Thanks, Peggy Attachments: ![]() |

What about a small Contorted Filbert? |

Contorted filbert and contorted witch hazel are the same thing as is Harry lauders Walking Stick.... Could be, but I'm leaning towards the corkscrew (curly)willow myself. The branch twigs appear to be slim much more like the the willow. The size and shape of the bush are more like the filbert, but that could be because of prunning. If the cuttings root readily, it is definitely a willow. The filbert is notorious for being hard to propogate.... thus the high cost. |
