Finally a girl to spoil

Hello everyone. After having 4 boys and then our first grand child is a boy, we finally got a little girl, born on Feb. 2/07. She is not really our granddaughter but is our grandson's half sister. Mom and dad wants us to be Grandma and Grandpa to Amanda too. I do not know how to spoil little girls after having all those boys, but I think I will enjoy it. When I became a grandma for the first time I was only 43 yrs old and I thought that was way to young to be a grandma. Grandparents are suppose to be in their 50's not in their 40's. But now I can enjoy them more and not be as tried out. My husband is 55 and he gets tried fast but young grandma here can keep going. Enjoy your grandchild for they grow up to fast. Our grandson is 2 1/2 yrs. old and growing faster and faster. The wierd part about him is like having his dad in the house again when he was that age. It is lots of fun.

Dove45, I was 41 when I graduated to granny lol! We definately have more boys than girls. I had two boys and one girl. My grandbaby is a boy too. We tease my daughter that it's a good thing she had a boy because she would know what to do with a girl lol! Congrats on the girl to spoil :-) Dora/Garden Goddess |

What a nice little family! I was around my stepdaughters when they were little, but mostly it's been boys, boys, boys at my house. |

Congratulation on your new granddaughter. You will love her as if she were your own. Our youngest son married a girl whose husband was killed in a car wreck when their daughter was 6 weeks old. He took her to raise and loves her as if she were his own. She was only 18 months when she became part of our family and we love her dearly to. So blood doesn't matter its whats in your heart. |
