Find Your Plant Hardiness Zone by Postal Code

I came across this site that I thought would be useful. It allows you to look up your zone by typing in your zip/postal code. It's simpler than the maps. It only has links for Canada and the U.S., however.

That"s pretty neat Blue..........much easier for anyone wanting to know...............better then the maps.............

well, hotdawg! thanks for the link, Blue! i'm in zone 5[B]a[/B]. it's almost impossible to tell from the regular zone maps.

That is certainly easy. I heard on a gardening show last week that the new zone map should be out sometime this year. I'm in 6b now but according to the new map I will be in zone 7 when the map comes out.

huh...5b...i could never be sure....the new map says just "5"....whatever....i suppose my dream of growing bananas in indiana will have to wait until the global warming gets a little further along....that, and once the icecaps melt, we'll have a beachfront property

Wow I thought I was in 6a and now I find I'm in 5b. Oh well next week I'll be in 8b. That is a whole lot warmer. Longer growing season. More moisture and I'll be enjoying all of it.
