I believe it is Clarkia pulchella. Found on the Lewis and Clark expedition to the western States. If you do a Google image search, the same plant comes right up.

Excellent!

Hardy Annual

Flowers: Summer
Height: 18 inches
Position: Sun or Partial Shade

Description: Beautifully laced blooms in two complementing hues. This showy annual is very easy to grow, giving guaranteed non-stop colour for beds and borders. Sprinkle some in your garden today for an effortless summer display. Prefers a deep, rich soil in full sun or semi shade.

Sowing Instructions: Sow April to May. Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow 6mm ( inch) deep, in rows 30cm (12 inches) apart.

For spring/summer flowering pot plants Sow in a cool greenhouse or conservatory in late summer/early autumn. Grow on cool in full light and water sparingly.

Growing Instructions: When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm (6 inches) apart.

Thank you soo much flowerpower and Kale for helping me out. I would'nt have thought of clarkias as I've never ever grown them. Can't even recall where the seeds came from either...oh well, at least I know what they are now
