My brother-in-law sent us some winter onion sets back in august and so far they are doing good. Has anyone had any experience with these onions before.

are winter onions the same thing as perennial multiplying onions? If so, yes I have some growing. Egyptian Walking Onion is what I have. Very cool and pretty much always have a bunch I can harvest at any time including the winter. They tend to be on the strong side though which some don't like.

I have onion growing all over, I do have the Egyptian Walking Onion going on it's 3th round (I dont eat it). It did produce bulbs on top after flowering.I did plant the bottoms of store bought onions.

The smaller sets didnt do much and I dont remeber where I planted them *LOL
