A friend of mine gave me some of her mauve poppy seeds and I'm wondering when to plant them: spring or fall? Does anyone know? If they don't get planted until spring, what is the best way to store them for the winter? They are in a camera film canister right now. Thanks for any help! :banana-wa |

Tammie - last season there was a thread dedicated to winter sowing and a lot of our GG friends reported great success. Here is a link to that thread and it has a lot of information in it.. http://www.gardenguides.com/forum/showthread.ph p?t=16112&highlight=winter+sowing |

As long as they are dry, the film canister is a great place to store them if you do decide to wait. Just keep them a cool dry place and they will be fine. If you have plenty, you can always use a few to experiment and save a few incase it doesn't work. |
