Munnar Is a small town nestled in the western Ghats. Western Ghats are mountains that form the eastern boundary of Kerala.
Tea,coffee, spices are the main crops grown. The weather is very pleasant throughout the year. I should say a state of perpetual Spring..!!
I would to share some pics with you.

More pics.The above ones are,
1)Vanilla Beans.
2) Tea Garden
3) Cocoa
4)A waterfall.
5) A lake
Next Pics are of
1) A stalk of the blue Kurunji Flower that blooms once in 12 years. It paints the verdant mountain slopes bluish violet.
2) Flowers of the Coral Tree.
3) A clump of Eucalypus trees.Wild elephants roam these grassy slopes and lurk amongst these trees. Just across is a farm called Indo -Swiss farm. They make a preparation of grass and jaggery for the cows that has a great aroma.
Elephants love it too. They bulldoze through the barns for the tasty meal...!
4)some more yellow wild flowers. They are growing beside a rushing cold mountain stream.
Stream is not visible to the passer by because it is covered by a dense under growth.
5) It is the mountains with shadows of the evening creeping on it.

The landscapes could be from our very own Blue Ridge or Alleghennes over here. The plants are definitely different tho. And no elephnats here. I could just imagine the squawking of our Harrisonburg residents if they had elephants eating their landscape shrubery rather than deer.

Beautiful pics Suzanne!

Suzanne what a beautiful land . People who are blessed to open their eyes every morning to sights like that are the wealthiest people in the world, no manner how many coins they have in their pockets.

Suzanne - thanks so much for sharing these beautiful pictures. It is awesome seeing the landscapes that others enjoy on a daily basis. I also enjoyed seeing the pictures of the flowers, etc too - so different, but ever so interesting. Please continue to share your pictures with us and educate us on your country.
