Haven't noticed too many gardneners from Northeast PA. Must be because of all the rocks that grow here. I'm new to this site. My husband and I enjoy gardening and backyard birdfeeding. We keep adding small areas for planting and attracting birds. Thats tough in this part of the country! Deer and squirrels are not kind to us As I look through many of the forums, people are commenting on pictures that I cannot see sometimes. Has anyone else encoundered this? |

Well, hello and welcome to the forum. You'll find great information and lots of friends here. We recently vacationed at Lake Erie and visited your town. What a neat place. We especially enjoyed the antique/book stores and lunch in the park with the band and farmer's market (I think it was Thursday). I also spent waaayyyyy too much time in a quilt/fabric shop there---my passion! I was quite impressed with the number of black eyed susans there. Almost every home seemed to have them. We look forward to returning to your area!

Hello Cookiemom and Grandmom sage, I live in the NE, in PA, Bucks County. I have been to the Poconos many many times! I would imagine it's a beautiful place to live. Gets rather congested around my way. I love to garden but every year it seems things just don't grow as well as I would like. I had to cut down all my purple plox this week because they we're covered in white powder. They we're beautiful for most of the summer though! Have you been able to find a perineal that looks good into fall?? Nice meeting you both, your PA friend. |

Thanks for the warm welcome. I enjoy my burning bush year round although its only fiery red in fall. Wilkes Barre...yes we are neighbors ![]() I live in the Northeast portion of the state. It can be quite beautiful here. Seasons are defined and crisp. Unfortunately, winter is the longest. Thanks for the info on the pics. I haven't put any of my own up yet. Didn't know there was a limit. I'm still exploring the site, and I am enjoying it. Again thanks for the welcome. I'll be seeing you around here. |

it great to see Pa folks. I'm in New Jersey(that other state) but I'm 10 minutes from Phila. I live 3 blocks from the bridge to Phila. It's always fun to see gardeners close to me. *Well, a 2 hour drive is kinda close to me* Nice to see the new folks here. This site will get more busy as the fall sets in and the gardners come inside for winter. Stop by the chatroom soon--I promise to make it *jumping* in the next months. |
