It is officially football season so I want to get people started thinking about having a Christmas ornament exchange again this year. For those of you that are new here is how it goes...(It is a Secret Santa type thing) 1) Submit your screen name, real name and snail mail address to me by in a PM before Oct. 31 if you want to participate. I will not consider you official until I get a PM telling me you want in. 2) On Nov. 1 I will have my volunteer helper draw names out of a hat to match people up 3) On Nov. 2 I will PM you the screen name, real name and snail mail address of the ONE person you will be sending to (note: only 2 people -me and the one person sending to you- will ever see this info) 4) You will then make OR buy a Christmas ornament or decoration for the person who's name you received keeping it under $10.00 plus s&h (this is why I start early so people have time to work/shop) 5) You will then ship your item(s) in order to be RECEIVED by Dec. 15 It's as simple as that. You will send to ONE person and you will receive from ONE person. If you don't know anything about the person who's name you receive, don't panic. I will start a thread in mid-October so that people interested can list hobbies, favorite colors, themes they may collect etc. so that once you have your name you can look it up for ideas. If you still don't find your person, I am the liason person. Since I am the only one that knows who has who, I will act as the go between to contact your person for you to get info without giving your identity away. Then as we receive our gifts we have a thread so that we can share our surprises with each other. It has really been a LOT of fun the last three years. PS, if you have any special requests, include them with your sign up PM please. ie...US to US only - Canada to Canda only etc. If you do not specify, you could get someone in another country so there may be extra postage (postage can be a issue for some people and we don't want anyone left out because they can't afford postage to another country). |
