Here's my Stinky. It's a carrion plant that's over 10 years old. Yesterday it popped open and today I've moved it from the sunny window where it was drawing flies to on top of my fridge with a plastic bag around the flower!! lol BUGS!!!! It doesn't smell as bad in cool, shady areas. You can see the size of the flower compared to my hand by it.

A girl I worked with gave part of hers to me. I don't know if it ever bloomed for her. She passed away in a tragic car accident a couple years before this ever bloomed for me.
I thought I'd share it with you. The color isn't great because they were taken with hubby's camera phone. They're basically all yellow with red squiggles and have almost 1/2 inch hair all over the flower. The center is a little black star shape.

And thanks Foz and Ron for you help with my picture posting problem.

ya me too. My sister's was in full bloom about a month ago and I was visiting her and she kept asking me if I could smell your stinky. She was blanching beans at the time. I said all I can smell is the beans. She finally had to leave her kitchen for a while. The flower is pretty but the stink is awful. The joys of having flowers. LOL

lol Yeah, I know the feeling. It sort of gets my stomach going if it gets too strong, but it sure is a cool plant.
